I have been registered with SportCity for a while now and my goal was to achieve certain physical results. However, my sporting behavior has fluctuated enormously over the years and I failed to be consistent in my visits to the gym.
Every time I started again and I made the promise to myself to hold on to it this time. So I started again full of enthusiasm with 5 to 6 visits a week. I kept this up for a few weeks. Until another moment came when my motivation dropped. 5 visits became 4 visits, 4 visits became 3 visits to the point that I stayed away for months. And so the vicious circle started again from the beginning.
The training sessions with Dave have changed this 360 degrees! In March 2018 I started personal training. I wanted to give myself one more chance to implement sports in my daily life without falling back on my old pattern. The weekly sessions have taught me how you can exercise with pleasure and how you can work towards good results, and how you also have enough time for other activities! Ultimately it’s about using the right techniques, for which you need good support to get the best out of every exercise. Professional support, learning the right training technique and having fun in my training sessions have ensured that I have been exercising consistently for more than 9 months. Dave showed me how I can train independently. I now know exactly which exercises I can do and how I do them correctly! With the monthly measurements I now see the result of my commitment and this motivates me to continue.
Looking back at 2018, this was the best choice I made for myself. I will certainly continue as long as possible.
